Description
The GME MC012 Remote Speaker Microphone (RSM) is a "must have" audio accessory that attaches to the GME Commercial range of radios, including the CP30, CP40 & CP50.
The MC012 remote speaker microphone allows the user to wear the GME CP series radio on their belt, whilst at the same time, allowing the user to speak / listen in the microphone attached near the user's shoulder, via a long kevlar curly cord.
On the back of the microphone, is a 360-degree rotation clip that allows the user to attach it to their safety vest / work uniform in a variety of ways, to ensure absolute comfort and ease of use.
Using your radio with an RSM prevents the user from dropping the radio, a risk that is created every time you wish to talk, and ensures the longevity of the belt clip connected to the radio. This audio accessory overall increases the longevity & safety of your radio system.
Other names for this audio accessory include: "fist mic", "hand mic" and "bungees".
The MC012 RSM is IP67 / IP54* rated and has a 12-month warranty.
Last, the microphone has a built-in 3.5mm audio aux port, so a 3.5mm "listen-only" earpiece can be attached to the microphone in particularly noisy work environments or in circumstances where the user does not want those around them to hear their communications.
* When a listen-only earpiece is connected to the MC012 this lowers the waterproof protection from IP67 (water proof) to IP54 (water splash / rain proof). If no audio accessory is connected to the microphone, then the audio auxiliary port must be kept closed to maintain the IP67 rating of the device.
