Every customer’s operational environment is unique, meaning your radio system needs bespoke programming according to your team’s unique workflows, physical operating environment, among other technical considerations.
We ensure every device in your system is programmed to achieve your mission, whilst also ensuring legal compliance with the ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) who govern & enforce the Radio Communications Act 1992.
Our Programming Services
1. Existing Fleet Matching (Cloning): Adding new radios to an existing system? We ensure your new gear matches your old favourites exactly. Send us a sample: Mail us one of your existing radios.
- We analyse the codeplug: Our technicians extract the frequency data, privacy codes, and settings.
- We replicate it: We program your new units to match perfectly, complete end-to-end testing to ensure seamless communication of your new radios the moment you open the box.
2. Custom "Codeplug" Design: For new system setup, we design the logic of your communication network. This goes beyond just UHF frequencies. For example, we can configure:
- Digital Features: Caller ID, Group Calls, and Private One-to-One calling (DMR/NXDN)
- Private & Public Channels: Priority scanning across your private ACMA channels & public 80 CB UHF channels.
- Safety Protocols: Programming Emergency Buttons (Man Down / Lone Worker) to trigger alarms on supervisor radios.
- Audio Optimisation: Tuning microphone gain and noise cancellation settings for your specific environment (e.g., loud machinery vs. quiet office).
- WiFi / ROIP devices: We work with your IT team to program in your network details, for seamless integration and deployment.
3. Privacy & Encryption Security is paramount: Where possible, we program digital encryption keys to prevent unauthorised listeners from monitoring your channels. Whether it is basic privacy or advanced AES 256-bit encryption for government use, we secure your voice.
4. Over-the-Air (OTA) Management: For modern fleets using advanced hardware, such as LTE radios, we can assist with Over-the-Air programming configurations. This allows us to update your fleet remotely via 4G LTE without physically needing to touch every handset.
We Take ACMA Compliance Seriously
Incorrect programming is the leading cause of radio interference, which is a criminal offence, leading to possible fines & jail time. Our technical team takes meticulous care to ensure that your radios are programmed strictly within the technical specifications of your ACMA Licence, such as bandwidth and power limits. We protect you from the risk of accidentally transmitting on emergency service bands, or prohibited channels
