Icom IP503H (LITE)

The World's First Global 4G LTE Radio

IP503 (LITE)

Introducing the "Game Changing" Icom IP503 (LITE)

What is the Icom IP503H (LITE) Radio?

The IP503 (LITE) has a global Icom LTE Connect sim card installed in it, meaning that the IP503H (LITE) radio will always connect to the strongest 4G network wherever the radio is located. This dynamic 4G LTE connectivity feature built into the radio, make it the world's first truly 4G LTE radio you can take anywhere on the planet and use legally (*Subject to availability).

Which users/businesses will the IP503H (LITE) appeal to?

The Icom IP503H (LITE) radio can be used anywhere, there is an available 4G LTE Network to connect to. So imagine that you are at a major sporting matche, and other major public event, and the network gets congested. The radio will respond to this circumstance by automatically switching to the 4G network with the strongest signal; moreover, the user can manually change to their preferred radio network of choice through the radios' menu system, if they want to.

For the many international sporting teams, the IP503H (LTE) is a no brainer. Why run the risk of using an Australian UHF radio overseas, using illegal radio channels overseas, when the IP503H (LTE) radio will keep your communications, not only legal, but encrypted, secure and in near real time.

We believe IP503H LTE radio would also be ideal for a whole range of different businesses. Firstly, the radio would appeal to Australian businesses that want a reliable 4G LTE network radio, but who can't afford any down-time. Moreover, the radio would appeal to business teams that travel internationally, who need private talk group and individual calling opptions via 4G coverage, wherever they are located ont the globe. The communication options are truly endless!

As the radio has built-in Bluetooth, the radio can be wirelessly paired with, for example, the 3M Peltor ProTac headsets (which typically retail for $875). By combining the IP503H LTE radio with thease Bluetooth helments, means heavy machine operators can have completely hands free communication, whilst enjoying full-duplex, telephone-like communication with their team without limitations of distance.

Lastly, the IP503H (LITE) radio will also appeal to businesses located in rural Australia, where different 4G networks deliver different performance, and the user can select (if they choose) their preferred network of choice.

How much does the Icom IP503H (LITE) cost?

As the IP503H (LTE) contains a global sim card installed within the radio device, you can use the radio on any 4G LTE network of the country you are visiting, without paying any additional data or talk fees. When you subscribe for the service through our website, we currently offfer either 24 or 36 month plans at various rates (excluding GST). Alternatively, if you would rather purchase the system outright or lease the system, Radio Warehouse has a range of flexible payment options for you.

How does the Icom IP503H (LITE) full duplex work?

The Icom IP503H (LITE) allows the user to configure the "push to talk" button, as a traditional, push to talk button (PTT), where each user takes turns to talk. Or alternatively, the radio PTT button can be configured as an "on/off" switch.

This opens the doors for the radios to communicate together in full duplex mode. The IP503 (LITE) has instantly made VOX mode a legacy technology of the past. Heavy machine operators can now truly enjoy hands-free communication

Never deal with technical hassles of a VOX UHF headset used in a dynamic audio environemnt. Use the IP503H (LITE) radio with the appropriate 3M Peltor headset, and all users on the radio network will not be able to hear the background noise of the environment they are operating in.

How does the Icom IP503H (LITE) differ to the existing IP503H model?

The Icom IP503H (LITE) model differs to the currently available IP503H model, in that the existing IP503H radui only lets the user utilise the Telstra Network, whilst the IP503H (LITE) gives you access to whatever 4G LTE network you prefer, globally.

At the moment, the IP503H (LITE) does not have GPS tracking abilities, nor does it connect to Icom's broader "Icom LTE Connect" system, meaning that the IP503H (LITE) cannot interconnect with traditional UHF radio systems via ROIP devices such as the Icom VE-PG.

These features are scheduled to be added in the future.
